Prague, July 7, Arenaways, an Italian private operator renowned for its innovative approach to train travel, has announced the planned launch of an infotainment system and onboard WiFi on their new train services in collaboration with Passengera.

Operating in the Piedmont region, Italy, Arenaway’s trains offer complementary mobility to support the tourism development of the area through a catalogue of special trains, events and experiences to enjoy from the first moment of travel.

The operator has recently signed a contract with Passengera, a Czech based global company, including delivery of digital services such as onboard internet connectivity and passenger infotainment.

We chose Passengera innovative infotainment system because it does allow to properly connect, entertain and provide real time information to passengers throughout their journey, whilst exploring the exciting landmarks and activities available along the route. Fulfilling our „Rail different“ philosophy, for the first time local connections will offer free Wi-Fi and infotainment – usually a privilege of high-speed trains.”

Connecting, Entertaining, and Informing Passengera’s modular software platform offers a comprehensive suite of features. Passengers will enjoy free Wi-Fi and infotainment on local connections. The system will provide real-time route information, weather forecasts, interactive maps, and detailed station pages. Whether exploring landmarks or discovering exciting activities along the route, passengers will stay informed and entertained. The entertainment section will offer multiple types of media such as movies, books, audiobooks or games. 

Customized Experience The Passengera Infotainment system will seamlessly integrate with Arenaways’ onboard systems, and provides a central management application for easy content management. Customization ensures that the system reflects Arenaways’ unique brand identity and enhances passenger engagement. For the first time, local connections will offer a tailored digital experience, setting a new standard in train travel. 

Monetization Opportunities Thanks to an extensive advertising options, transport operators with Passengera on board are able to monetize the infotainment system, therefore lower the actual costs.
