RhB introducing Passengera onboard digital platform to more passengers
Less than a year after the launch of the Passengera “Infot(r)ainment" program in 1st class Bernina Express trains, the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) is expanding its service due to very positive feedback from passengers.
Passengers in the Bernina Express receive information about the route from Chur / Davos / St. Moritz to Tirano via loudspeaker announcements. In addition, thanks to Passengera „Infotrainment“ solution, they are also provided with additional text, picture and audio information about the trip, the UNESCO World Heritage, and RhB highlights.
Interactive maps illustrate the journey, and the platform provides information on current speed, estimated time of arrival, current altitude above sea level or the distance traveled as altitude profile. Passengers can also find out about the respective terminus of the journey.
In addition to the first class trains, Passengera can also be found on board Bernina Express bus taking passengers from Lugano to Tirano for a seamless passenger experience within one transport operator.
The „Infotrainment“ works without any downloads and mobile data. To meet the needs of the international audience, it is available in German, English, Italian, French, Japanese and Chinese.
